Ya que he decidido vivir en Londres por una temporada, he pensado que debería comenzar a escribir también en inglés. Todavía tengo algunos fallos, pero voy mejorando. Mi inspiración es clara: Amy Lowell, John Gould Fletcher, William Butler Yeats... Ya encontraré mi propio estilo.

Since I've decided to live in London for a time, I've thought that I should start to write in English too. I still make some mistakes, but I'm improving. My inspiration is clear: Amy Lowell, John Gould Fletcher, William Butler Yeats... I will eventually find my own style.

Swan song

Let me lie among the reeds,
let me lie among the busy swans.
I know that they can’t sing:
I’ll sing for them about the misty dawn
that doesn’t come,
about the girl who leapt much like
the moon upon the fence of my static home,
challenging me
with pallid vibration.


Light flowers

I sleep
and right above my head
hangs a dim, withering rose.
All her essence drops
on my lips, the avid dreamers,
unconcerned
with the ghostly beauty of her decay.

Ah, they dream
of blossoming flowers
twinkling in the dark.
